If you follow the Mariners, the offseason just started: the club extended a qualifying offer to Randy Arozarena on Monday. He's expected to reject it and look for a multiyear deal. If he signs elsewhere, Seattle would get a compensation pick in the 2027 draft.

Arozarena, 31, is coming off a career-best season for the Mariners.

  • Arozarena's 2026: 5.9 offensive bWAR, No. 5 among MLB hitters
  • Offers across MLB: eight players, per ESPN's Jeff Passan
  • Reliever claimed: Isaac Mattson, 31, from the Pirates

For Tacoma, the roster shuffle sent five players to Triple-A Tacoma after they cleared waivers and were outrighted. Seven others returned from the 60-day injured list, and the 40-man roster now stands at 39 players.
