Enumclaw police search for three suspects who cut down two license plate reader cameras

If you live in Enumclaw, police want to hear from you. Three people in an early-2000s white, short-body cargo van cut down two automated license plate readers around 12:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, the Enumclaw Police Department said. They left the camera equipment behind.

“People may disagree about the use of ALPR technology. That disagreement does not authorize someone with criminal intent to destroy taxpayer-funded, city-owned property.”

The Wrap

Two giant cameras and several plastic domes have been turning heads on the lawn of a house on the corner of 34th Avenue East in Midland. They're mobile food trucks for Prestige, a Nigerian restaurant and boba shop that Victor and Susan Aruwah plan to open by Nov. 13. They light up in rainbow colors at night. Say cheese.
