About this event
Aerial yoga uses a silk hammock to access and deepen traditional yoga positions. The hammock serves as a tool to hold yoga postures by partially or fully supporting the weight of the body. This all levels class will focus on stretch, flexibility, strength, core and spinal decompression. Through restorative breath - you’ll move through postures such as inversions, hamstring stretches, shoulders and hip openers. The class also serves as cross-training and conditioning to the aerial arts as options for aerial shapes and spin will be offered. Support such as spotting, modifications and progressions will be available to accommodate different abilities. This Community Class is intended to increase access to pole and aerial arts for those experiencing financial hardship. It is made possible by a grant from 4Culture.
