Catch the Last Wild Wave

About this event

Join ACE Northwest as we gather to give Wild Waves the send-off it deserves! Much to the disappointment of many long time fans of the park and coaster enthusiasts in the Seattle area, Wild Waves announced this will be their final day of operation before closing permanently.

Starting at 2pm the park has a kids Halloween event (Booville) and runs the coasters and numerous flat rides until nightfall at which point they transition over to the thrill rides (around 5pm). Once Fright Fest begins, the screams don't stop until 10pm when all the rides and haunted houses close their doors forever! This is a historic day you will not want to miss as we give final rites/rides to the rare S&S wooden coaster Timberhawk Ride of Prey, the arrow looper Wild Thing, and all of your other favorite Wild Waves attractions.

NOTE: This is not a ticket to access the park. You will need to purchase a ticket yourself or have a season pass in order to attend this meetup.

Tentative Schedule of Events

2:00pm - Meet outside the main gate along the black fence. Look for Assistant Rep John Niehaus in a white ACE polo and black jacket. We will enter the park as a group and our contact at the park will assist if anyone was unable to get a reservation.

2:15 - Informal Takeover Group Ride on Timberhawk Ride of Prey

Enjoy your afternoon (note Kiddy Coaster, Ferris Wheel, and other children's rides will close around 6pm for anyone wanting final rides on those attractions)

6:30 - Informal Takeover of Black Hallow Woods (Look for Assistant Rep John Niehaus and don't be late as we want to be amongst the first groups inside the haunted maze when it opens at 7pm)

Enjoy your final rides during Wild Waves last day of operation! (Do note that the line for Timberhawk may close early due to a local noise ordinance)

10:00 - Wild Waves and all Rides and Attractions will be Permanently Closed
