About this event

The City of Tacoma’s Equity in Contracting Program, in partnership with the Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE), invites business owners to attend a free OMWBE Active Certification Class and Q&A session.

This hybrid workshop is open to businesses throughout Washington State and is designed to help small, minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged-owned businesses complete and submit their OMWBE certification applications. Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with OMWBE Certification Analyst Resie Rogers and receive guidance on the certification process.

Attendees are encouraged to begin their application before the workshop and bring any questions related to completing the application. Those seeking certification should bring:

• A laptop or electronic device

• Financial statements and other required certification documents

Registration is required. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged, though virtual participation is available.

For questions or to request information in an alternate format, contact Linda Cerna at LCerna@tacoma.gov or (253) 453-9488.
