CRIME NEWS
- ➤ King County prosecutors said scammers posing as bank or IRS representatives have stolen more than $7 million from Washington victims since February 2024 by using phone calls, emails, texts, and pop-ups—targeting seniors and those less familiar with technology. KOMO News
- ➤ Tacoma police investigated a homicide after a man was found shot dead near South 88th Street and Pacific Highway on Friday night—officers responded before 11 p.m. but declared the victim dead on scene with no suspects in custody. FOX 13
- ➤ Pierce County deputies arrested four teenagers early Tuesday morning in Parkland after a white SUV drove by a trailer several times and its passengers threw rocks at a homeless woman and her friend, with the 18-year-old driver charged with second-degree assault and felony eluding while his passengers (ages 15, 15 and 16) were released to their parents.
