Open Studio: Making Handmade Gift Wrap

About this event

Make the wrapping as special as the gift! Join us at CraftLab Seattle for a festive, hands-on evening of designing your own one-of-a-kind gift wrap. Bring the gifts you picked up during the holiday season and wrap them with handmade style.

Using stamps, paint, and printmaking techniques, you’ll create custom wrapping paper in patterns and colors all your own. Then add the finishing touches: handmade gift tags, ribbon and twine bows, and other creative toppers that turn any present into a showstopper. Many of our materials are upcycled and eco-friendly, so you’ll see how gift wrap can be beautiful and kind to the planet.

This is a fun activity for the whole family, a group of friends, or anyone looking for a creative evening. Kids and grown-ups work side by side at the same tables, with projects for every age and skill level. You’ll head home with your gifts wrapped and ready to give, and a little extra paper, tags, and toppers to keep wrapping creatively all season.
