FREE Community Dance Day: Ballet (Ages 7-9)

ECB's FREE Community Dance Days are our way of giving back to our amazing community! Each month, a different class is open to the public, free of charge, to give young dancers of all ages the opportunity to discover the JOY of dance. No previous experience required. Just come with your curiosity and be ready to move.

November 12 -- Ballet

Ages 7-9

4:30pm-5:45pm

About Ballet

Learn the basic fundamentals of ballet, using proper French names, and principally focusing on the posture of the body in general; particularly the feet, legs, back, head, and arms to achieve healthy positioning. Movements include challenging port de bras (arm movements), tendus, pliés, dégagés, and traveling exercises.

What should my child wear for the class?

If your child already has dance attire, please have them wear that. Otherwise, any non-restricting atheletic-wear is perfect, and socks work great in place of dance shoes! For children with longer hair, please have them pull it off of the face and neck into a bun, puff, or ponytail.

What should I bring?

Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

How early should I arrive?

We reccomend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your child's class to get settled in.
