You asked for a space to explore your creativity— and here it is! Art & Alchemy is a monthly gathering held in our Sanctuary & Studio, created for you to slow down, soften, and reconnect with your creative spirit.

We provide all materials, warm tea, and a cozy, welcoming environment so you can relax and gently drop into your creative flow.

This is your invitation to play, to listen inward, and to reconnect with the quiet pulse of your natural creativity—alongside others doing the same.

Classes each second Sunday of the month from 1-3pm.

November: Umbrella of Gratitude

November in Seattle means many things, including moving fully into “The Big Dark” where much of the time we are in darkness and rain. What’s your relationship with this time of year? Do you feel gratitude, dread, sleepiness, fear, or joy? This month we will take time to write about our feelings about the Big Dark, as well as creating some wonderful art inspired by clouds and umbrellas.

Join me in a cozy and supportive environment to enjoy community & creativity. No experience necessary, all supplies are provided.

December: Word/Wheel of the Year

With the darkness and cold, winter is a great time for reflection and rest—which can be hard to find during the holidays. We will take time to relax, reflect, and dream. After some journaling.

we will use pens and watercolors to create an art page (or two!) centering on your upcoming word of the year or a wheel of the year. A wheel of the year is a more in-depth reflection on a focus for each month in the upcoming year. Guidance will be provided and no art experience is necessary.

Alexis LaFlamme

I’m Alexis, an artist and art enthusiast who has lead art journaling and creative groups in the community since 2017. I want to help you quiet your mind and enjoy your creative practice.

I know you want to be creative but…Your inner critic has a habit of getting in the way. Or maybe you don’t know what to do.

I use my experience to encourage you to get past these blocks and help you have fun with creativity again.

We will focus on the experience and process of being creative and making art mindfully in a relaxed setting.
