Boeing Field tower repairs are restricting flights, and Sea-Tac arrivals could slow too
The Daily Tacoma team
If you're flying out of Sea-Tac in the coming weeks, give yourself some slack. Flights at Boeing Field are expected to be restricted for about a month while crews repair the control tower's stormwater drainage system. Controllers began working from a temporary tower Wednesday, King County said. Water kept getting in after the roof was patched, and a section of the drain was blocked or damaged.
32 to 38possible Sea-Tac arrivals per hour during the repairs
The two airports coordinate and share airspace, so Sea-Tac arrivals could be reduced too, the county said.
