If you've wondered how many neighbors drive electric, new Census data says 8.9% of Washington households owned or leased at least one EV in 2025. That's second behind California's 13.8% and well above the national 5.5%. It's the first time the American Community Survey counted EVs by household, and plug-in hybrids are included.
