- ➤ The City of Tacoma’s Community and Economic Development Department is hosting a free workshop—Space, Place, and People: Designing Business Spaces That Thrive—on November 5th from 3—5 p.m. at the Downtown Tacoma Public Library’s Cascade Room to help local entrepreneurs learn about choosing business locations, design techniques, and city permitting procedures. - ➤ Seattle's recent significant earthquake caused nearly $2 billion in damage and shook areas from Pioneer Square to Olympia, prompting the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network to add over 700 sensors for precise monitoring.
