Crystal Mountain Resort experienced its first snowfall over the weekend, covering the slopes from the mountain top to the base and reaching halfway down the boulevard.

Resort officials said visitors should check the resort's webcams as the weather shifts more into winter.

The Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County featured Sarah—a two-year-old cat—as its adoptable pet of the week.
