ECONOMY NEWS

  • Washington’s minimum wage will rise 2.8% to $17.13 per hour on Jan. 1 as L&I adjusts the rate based on inflation. This increase means that from 2026, young workers will be paid 85% of the new rate and overtime thresholds will shift—affecting both employees and employers.  FOX 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On October 09, 2025, two Tacoma City Council members said they oppose using the military for local law enforcement. The council joined other cities in an amicus brief to keep police decisions in local hands (control).  City of Tacoma
