A report by J.D. Power based on over 30,000 surveys ranked Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as one of the worst big airports in the U.S.—other major hubs saw rises in traveler satisfaction as they upgraded terminals and retail options.

The study measured factors like travel ease and service while Seattle-Tacoma continues to face delays and cancellations.

The City of Tacoma’s Events and Recognitions Committee is accepting applications for funding to support 2026 special events—applications remain open until October 21—and last year the committee awarded $90,000 to 26 organizations while offering non-monetary support through the City Event Services program.
