  • A study from the University of Washington (UW) discovered that the spotted ratfish (a common fish in Puget Sound) has a toothed appendage on its forehead.  FOX 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Comcast is suing Washington over a new advertising tax set to begin next month—critics say the measure could disrupt state budget plans.  FOX 13
  • Tacoma City Council is seeking Tacoma residents for seven volunteer seats on the Tacoma Arts Commission and one vacancy on the Tacoma Creates Advisory Board to support local arts, with applications accepted until noon on October 13. Applicants must commit to regular meetings and required trainings—inviting diverse voices to join efforts that shape Tacoma’s art programs.  City of Tacoma
