🎓 Education
The City’s Equity in Contracting Program and the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises will host a virtual workshop and Q&A on Sept.
9 from 9 to 10 a.m. to help local businesses learn the certification process, and a follow-up hybrid session is planned for Sept. 24 (contact Linda Cerna for alternate formats).
🏛️ Government
Sound Transit board approved a pilot project to install fare gates at 14 Link stations on Link 1 and 2 Lines on Thursday.
The agency plans to begin installation in 2029-2030 — staff will also test improvements to safety, cleanliness and wayfinding at busy stations.
