- ➤ Average gas prices rose last week as Seattle reached $4.52 per gallon after a 1.9-cent increase while Tacoma climbed by 4.8 cents to $4.34 per gallon—national averages remain much lower at $3.10 per gallon. KOMO News

- ➤ Photojournalist Michael Driver introduced a local kindergartener who is making videos to encourage hikers to respect nature—his project teaches the leave no trace message to local outdoor visitors. FOX 13
