A 6-year-old girl was hit by a car near Rainier Avenue South and South Charles Street just before noon on Sunday — she was taken to Harborview in critical condition.

Tacoma-based Make-A-Wish helped Tucker Schuld, a cancer patient at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, fulfill his wish by asking for extra game systems so that every oncology room can have its own.

The new donation increased the available systems from only a few to 11 — a change that will allow all children undergoing treatment to have games to distract them during tough moments.
