- ➤ Gov. Ferguson signed lawmakers’ two-year operating budget into law on May 20th using billions in tax increases to close a multi-billion dollar funding gap. He signed the budget almost a month after the legislative session ended—resolving a months-long process. FOX 13
- ➤ A Filipino father and longtime legal immigrant detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at Sea-Tac Airport for days may be transferred to an ICE facility (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) after his detention began on May 20; officials have not announced when a decision will be made.
