CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Tacoma police are investigating a homicide after a shooting on Sunday night left one person dead — one injured. FOX 13
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tacoma’s EIC team will host an in-person business taxes class on May 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tacoma Municipal Building, room 248—registration is required for one of only 25 spots and CPA Tai Moultrie will later provide up to 45 hours of support. City of Tacoma
- ➤ Tacoma City Council is seeking five qualified candidates for the Board of Building Appeals, which reviews codes such as building, fire, plumbing and energy codes—applicants must submit their materials to the City Clerk’s Office by May 18. - ➤ Governor Ferguson signed House Bill 1644 on Monday, April 28th at 1:34 p.m.—the new law sets minimum penalties for youth labor violations and requires inspections before authorizing work permits for minors. FOX 13
