- ➤ Tacoma’s South Tacoma Neighborhood Plan won the Community Involvement Award from the Joint American Planning Association/Planning Association of Washington Awards for Excellence in Planning on April 24. - ➤ The City of Tacoma’s Equity in Contracting team will host a virtual Certification 101 workshop on May 8 from 9—10 a.m. to help minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged business owners understand the certification process alongside experts from the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises; a second session is planned for May 20.
