- ➤ Former Army sergeant Zuleika Witron fell into the Carbon River near the Fairfax Bridge Sunday at 11:45 a.m. while walking with her girlfriend and dog, and local search teams now focus on recovery as the river's fast current and sharp rocks make rescue dangerous. KOMO News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A man was hospitalized yesterday after being shot in Spanaway in an incident involving a Pierce County Sheriff's deputy—officials said he is now receiving treatment. FOX 13
- ➤ The suspect in a deadly overpass crash on State Route 599—where he launched his car onto I-5 and killed his passenger—was scheduled to enter his plea Monday. FOX 13

- ➤ Lewelyn Dixon, a University of Washington lab tech holding a green card, was detained by ICE in Tacoma on March 24th—her case sparked a political battle from Seattle to Honolulu over immigration policies. FOX 13
- ➤ Tacoma's Street Operations Division will begin pre-chip seal maintenance on Browns Point Boulevard on March 31 to fix pavement damage before a planned chip seal project this summer.
