ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit near Vashon Island late Monday night—10 miles north of Tacoma and over 14 miles south-southeast of Bremerton at a depth of 15.1 miles—with about 780 people feeling it and a small 1.4 aftershock after midnight, and no damage was reported. FOX 13

- ➤ At 10:50 p.m., a 3.3 magnitude earthquake shook 4 miles south of Vashon off Quartermaster Harbor at a depth of 15.1 miles, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. The United States Geological Survey asks residents to report if they felt the quake. KOMO News

- ➤ Rebecca Burke, a 28-year-old British cartoonist detained at Tacoma ICE detention center, was removed from the United States yesterday after nearly three weeks in detention for violating visa terms during her backpacking trip—she had been sharing her journey on Instagram. FOX 13
- ➤ Tacoma is advancing its comprehensive strategy to end homelessness through partnerships that expanded shelter capacity, launched a $1 million street medicine pilot, and invested $2.24 million in Permanent Supportive Housing—efforts that included providing shelter during 42 days of inclement weather and transitioning the Forging Path Community shelter to an 81-unit affordable housing development.
