🎭 Culture
The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held Monday, Jan.
19 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center (downtown). The event starts at 11 a.m. with a Community Outreach Fair and continues at 1 p.m. with award presentations and live cultural performances.
🏛️ Government
Tacoma City Council seeks seven members for its Climate and Sustainability Commission, including a youth seat (16–24), to guide the 2030 Climate Action Plan via monthly meetings at 5:00 p.m. on the third Thursday.
Applicants must reside in the city; submissions are due by noon Feb. 9.
