Students and community members gathered outside Garfield High School on June 4 to honor Amarr Murphy-Paine by writing chalk messages to remember her, as she was fatally shot on campus two years ago.
On Tuesday, June 2, the Tacoma Dome hosted 22 graduation ceremonies for high schools and colleges, and one ceremony was held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Thousands of graduates and guests attended, boosting local business and community celebrations.
